'Aashiqui' is a 1990 Bollywood romantic musical drama film, which is directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Gulshan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt. Story of movie is written by Robin Bhatt and Akash Khurana. Casts of this movie are Rahul Roy, Anu Aggarwal and Deepak Tijori. It was commercially and critically successful particularly because of its music. Even today the film's songs and music are as popular as it was then. The film made the careers of singer Kumar Sanu and composers Nadeem-Shravan. Lyrics of songs from this movie are penned by Sameer, Rani Malik and Madan Pal. There are 11 songs in this movie which are sung by Kumar Sanu, Anuradha Paudwal and Udit Narayan. The film was a huge commercial success and one of the highest grossing films of 1990 mainly due to its music with the showings running to full houses.
