Happy Shani Jayanti 2014 HD Facebook timeline covers

Happy Shani Jayanti and Vat Savitri Vrat to all of you. Shani Jayanti the birth anniversary of Lord Shani falls on the Amavasya (New moon day) of Jyeshta month of Hindu calendar. Shani Jayanti, or Sani Jayanthi, is believed to be the day when Lord Shani, one of the Navagrahas made its appearance on Earth. In 2014, the date of Shani Jayanti is May 28, Wednesday. Shani Jayanti is marked as birth anniversary of Lord Shani. Shani Jayanti is also known as Shani Amavasya. Shani Jayanti is observed on Amavasya Tithi during Jyaishta month according to North Indian Purnimant calendar. According to South Indian Amavasyant calendar Shani Jayanti falls on Amavasya Tithi during Vaishakha month. It is name of Lunar month which differs and in both type of calendars Shani Jayanti falls on the same day. On Shani Jayanti devotees keep fast or Upvaas to propitiate Lord Shani and visit Shani temples to seek blessing of Lord Shani. It is believed that Lord Shani believes in fair justice and if appeased blesses His devotee with good luck and fortune. People, who don’t have blessing of Lord Shani, toil for years without getting any reward for their hard work in life. Shani is a deva and son of Surya and his wife Chhaya, hence also known as Chayyaputra. He is the elder brother of Yama, the Hindu god of death, who in some scriptures corresponds to the deliverance of justice. Surya's two sons Shani and Yama judge. Shani gives us the results of one's deeds through one's life through appropriate punishments and rewards; Yama grants the results of one's deeds after death. It is said that when Shani opened his eyes as a baby for the very first time, the sun went into an eclipse, which clearly denotes the impact of Shani on astrological charts. He is known as the greatest teacher and well wisher for the righteous as well the greatest punisher for those who follow the path of evil, betrayal, backstabbing and unjust revenge. He is depicted dark in colour, clothed in black; holding a sword, arrows and two daggers and mounted on a crow, which is Shani's vahana. As protector of property, Shani is able to repress the thieving tendencies of birds.

Happy Labour Day 2014 HD Facebook timeline covers

Happy Labour Day to all of you. The Labour Day is a special occasion when people worldwide celebrate the true spirit of the working class. The eight-hour movement to reduce the working day from 10 to eight hours began after the Civil War. It was a major aim of the National Labor Union, whose first congress met in 1866. By 1868 congress and six states passed an eight-hour legislation. In 1884 the National Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Assemblies decided to call for a general strike on May 1, 1886, to enforce demands for employers to observe the eight-hour day. In 1947, amidst the anti-Communist Cold War hysteria, the US Veterans of Foreign Wars renamed May 1 as "Loyalty Day" and a joint session of Congress later made the pronouncement official. May Day is a nationwide bank and public holiday in India. The holiday is tied to labour movements for communist and socialist political parties. Labour Day is known as "Kamgar Din" in Hindi, "Kamgar Divas" in Marathi and "Uzhaipalar Dinam" in Tamil. On this day, banks and other public organisations in Assam, Bihar, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, West Bengal and Orissa observe a holiday. In North India, Labour Day is mostly not given its previous importance as a holiday now.

Wish you all very very Happy Mahavir Jayanti. It celebrates the birth of Mahavir, the last Tirthankara. On the Gregorian calendar, the holiday occurs either in March or April. He was born on the 13th day of the rising moon of Chaitra. Mahavira's injunctions for the monks and nuns were however very exaction. Abstinence from every kind of physical comfort and material possession and absolute dedication to the highest ethical and spiritual discipline were enforced. Even to this day, 2500 years after the passing away of that great master, this pure and upright tradition of the monks has been maintained. Thousands of white clas Sanyasins and also nude monks move on foot from village to village and town to town. Mahavir left his mortal coils at the age of 71 on the Deepavali day. Happy Good Friday 2014 HD Facebook timeline covers

Happy Good Friday to all of you. This year it falls on 18 April 2014. Since Good Friday is a holiday marking the execution of the Christian messiah, it seems a little odd to call it God. Experts believe either that the holiday was once called God Friday, which later mistakenly became known as Good Friday, or that it is considered good because Christ's sacrifice allows believers to go to heaven and live eternally. Not such a great thing for him, but good news for Christians. In other countries it is know as Long Friday, Silent Friday or Holy Friday. It is said that Good Friday is a day of sadness, in which churches are empty and dark. It is a time to grieve over the sin of man and to meditate and rejoice upon God's love in giving His only Son for the redemption of sin. Services are held in the afternoon. Many churches have a bitter drink prepared from leaves, vinegar and other ingredients. This drink is for everyone to taste after the service.
Here we are providing HD Facebook timeline covers of Good Friday 2014, which are given below-
