Holiday is an upcoming Bollywood action thriller film written and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, produced by Vipul Shah and written by A.R. Murugadoss. It features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles, along with Govinda in a supporting role. It is a remake of a 2012 Tamil film Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles. Music is composed by Pritam. The trailer of Holiday released on 12th Feb 2014. According to director Murugadoss, Kumar's role is of an Army officer for which Kumar lost some weight to fit in the role and to look 12 years younger from Kumar's biological age.The film is scheduled to release on 6 June 2014.
